Education and Outreach:

As part of its mandate, the Commission conducts educations/outreach sessions both in-house and on-site.  These sessions generally are offered free of charge and seek to educate the public on rights and responsibilities under state and federal laws related to discrimination and harassment. The Commission, upon request, offers these sessions to groups of any size, including, but not limited to, schools, community organizations, employers, unions and housing providers.  For further information, contact the Commission office at (401) 222-2661.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Commission now offers virtual education/outreach training sessions. For more information, contact RICHR.Outreach@richr.ri.gov

Internship Program:

The Commission relies upon the contributions of interns to help carry out its mission. Internships of various durations are available throughout the year. Interns are accepted in the following areas: clerical, intake, investigations, mediation, and legal research/writing.  While the Commission does not have a budget for interns, interested persons may be eligible to receive paid internships through the State Government Internship Program.
